Yo I'd like to thank everyone from the AP crew & beyonds who showed up for the Living Colour NY Highline show, which SOLD OUT. That's a greet feeling to have in your home town! I'm sad that we aren't doing the Northhampton Saul Williams show. bad planning & communication made the logistics of performing unworkable-we will be back in the area later on in The Chair In The Doorway touring cycle. LC will be w Saul in DC however, & we hope to see/feel AP in Full Effect tomorrow (Sunday) Peace!

MAYOR BLOOMBERG TO PRESENT THE 2009 MAYOR’S AWARDS FOR ARTS & CULTURE AT THE FRANK SINATRA SCHOOL OF THE ARTS

Mayor Bloomberg will present the 2009 Mayor’s Awards for Arts and Culture to six individuals and organizations in celebration of their outstanding contributions to New York City’s cultural life. The Mayor will also present the Handel Medallion, New York City’s highest award for achievement in the arts, to the legendary singer Jessye Norman. The event, held at New York City’s acclaimed new arts school, will feature live performances by the Big Apple Circus and Dance Theatre of Harlem, and appearances by special guest artists.
