Vernon Reid's 'Known/Unknown' Shows New Style (on NPR)

Tom Terrell reviews the latest CD by guitarist Vernon Reid. Reid made music with Living Color in the 1990s. His electric guitar playing is frenetic and funky. He has a new recording called Known/Unknown with the band Masque. Terrell says his playing is reminiscent of Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis guitarist Pete Cosey.
