Sanctuary Recording artists Living Colour locked down Cutting Room's (New York City) Studio A for a few weeks to work on material for their new record. Pictured is guitarist Vernon Reid laying down an acoustic riff in studio A. Engineer Andy Stackpole ran the sessions with assistant Steve Rakidzioski.
Independent label Healing Rhythms brought the Chris Berry Project (based in Colorado) for a few days of tracking on the SSL 9000 J. Andy McEwen engineered the sessions with Rakidzioski assisting. Producer Ron Browze laid down some tracks for Ludacris in studio B on the Yamaha DM2000. Marco Bruno assisted. Cutting Room regulars Pharoahe Monch, De La Soul and Talib Kweli all worked on new tracks with engineer Joe Nardone. Sony artists The Bravehearts returned for some more writing and tracking in the A room. After just completing his new record, Mos Def returned to do a commercial spot for Converse.

ATTN : Doug Wimbish Pedals STOLEN!!!
News from the Living Colour chat group : Sacred Ground, a note to be on the lookout for Doug Wimbish pedal board :
"...(Doug's tech Gary) He just informed me that while Doug was out in LA this week doing a bass workshop at Loyola college and someone STOLE ALL OF HIS PEDALS !!!!!!!!!! As you all know Doug's footwork is integral to his sound, and these missing pedals have dealt him a powerful blow. He's very upset, especially when he went to the school to instill his amazing knowledge on these students. I was hoping you folk in the LC sacred ground community could help. If you hear anything or know anything about his missing stuff please inform him at his web site (www.dougwimbish.com) or the band's managment (www.availableentertainment.com) Thanks"
Some (or most) of Doug's gear can be found at his website gear page : Gear and the following pic Doug's Pedals.
